Free WRAP (Workshop Raising Awareness of Prevent) Training

Tuesday 17th July
1-3pm
Myplace Middlesbrough, TS2 1JP

We are offering music leaders the opportunity to attend a free ‘WRAP’ (Workshop Raising Awareness of Prevent) training session on Tuesday 17th July, 1-3pm at Myplace Middlesbrough.

The training will provide an overview of the Prevent Strategy and ways of identifying individuals vulnerable to radicalisation, as well as those who radicalise. It will be delivered by Home Office accredited trainer, Andrew Shippey (Community Safety Officer – PREVENT).

The training session is particularly relevant to music leaders as it includes how music is used as a method of spreading extremist ideology often targetting young people, which is important to be aware of in relation to safeguarding the vulnerable individuals we work with.

If you would like to book your free place on the WRAP training event, please email Parissa Zarifi at musinc@middlesbrough.gov.uk no later than Tuesday 3rd July.

The cost of the training is free and refreshments will be provided by musinc on the day.
